Do It Yourself with IT! – maker culture among children and global inclusion, particularly for marginalized children worldwide

Our experience indicates that combining physical artifacts, programming languages and sensors is a promising approach to increase interest in ICT, in a workshop setting. When creating interactive ICT experiences the following three conditions should be strived for: 1) active engagement in the learning process; 2) personal connection and 3) creating projects that are of value to a larger community.
