Facts and questions about #prostitution and #familyday #Roma #Rome #Italia

fact 1 – One million persons were expected at family day to protest against homosexual unions yesterday 30/1.

fact 2 – According to this blog there are 120.000 women who are exploited by prostitution business in Italy.  Of these 37% are in an age range of 13 – 17 years old.

fact 3 – Prostitute clients are 2.5 millions according to redattore sociale and 9 millions according to panorama.

Question 1 – Should family mean love and not judgement of other people and prostitution?

Question 2 – Since judgement comes from ignorance, what can Italy do to fight ignorance?

Quando gli altri ti capiscono nel modo sbagliato,
non perdere il tempo a giustificarti.
Volta pagina e goditi la vita,
perché chi ti conosce bene non ti fraintende mai

Alda Merini

I have blogged too much about work. Today I relax with coffee, book, a bit of social media. I read this sentence by an artist I love. I wonder if she is translated to Norwegian. I attempt a translation. Nynorsk would be better but I do not have the competence for this. Try bokmål.

Når noen forstår deg på feil måte
Ikke bruk tid til å rettferdiggjøre deg selv.
Gå videre og nyt livet
fordi den som vil deg godt vil aldri misforstå deg

Lean In

It can take some time before you get engaged. At the beginning you think that in Scandinavia we do not need to think about parking facilities for pregnant women or women toilets. On the contrary! This book is highly relevant and I suggest it to everybody women and men who are interested in:

  • social media and how and who control them
  • career development in High Tech
  • leadership and gender and family issues

I am – as you know – interested in all the three points above so I highly apreciate this book and I wish that I had read something like this 20 years ago. There are some funny and poetic stories so the book is nice to read almost as a novel or at least a biography.

2015 – thanks for this year and 50 years

It has been a good year (and good and interesting 50 years), I am grateful for everything and looking forward for the next 50 years. I do not forget my friends who died too early and are always with me to remind me of tring to think of the important matters.

.ps Augusto Ferri, Nicola Molnar, Giovanni Toniolo, all born 1964 died 2/1/1990. In the pictures above Simone Mazzoni, Luisa Azzena and me. The braid was not mine, I had borrowed it from Mrs. Paola Carlesi.

2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 14,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 5 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

stella cadente – falling star

Buon Natale e Buon anno

Last night I ended up to the hospital as I managed to get a Christmas star right in my eyebrow. It was my stupid fault, I did not think. The star could have falled on the floor as I had expected, but could even have been landing on my eye, that instead of being black and it is now, could be much worst. With this episode I want to end my activity of 2015 blogging. It summarizes the year and life, full of stars , errors, falling down and raising up. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

#kathrineaspaas #Julekalender

kathasp_front_webcover_quote1Check this homepage. It is in Norwegian. It is about rausheten. A Norwegian word that means generosity. We should all be more generous and less selfish. If we learn to shed light to other people than ourself, light will come back to us. Important to focus on light in this December morning. Thanks Kathrine Aspaas for sending me Julekalender each day in December, I am looking forward each day.
