Experts in Team 2012 – mission Rio?

I have started to work for for two experts in team villages that I will supervise in 2012.
This year I will have a blog for each village so students will have the possibility to register on the blog.

Title: Engagement through Art and Open Source Software
Project ArTe

Science and technology communication is important to recruit young
students to scientific studies and to increase awareness of technology
issues among citizens in the society and decision makers. Software
science and technology communication poses specific challenges as
software is by its nature not tangible and not visible. Our argument
is that Science in Society events which gather artists, developers,
researchers, and citizens around an Open Source Software project,
are effective for both communicating open source software issues to a
broad audience and for collecting open documentation that has both
research and artistic value. This paper examines four projects that
have been designed according to a combination of both practical and
research goals. For each of these projects, one or more artists played
a significant role. Moreover, we collected open documentation and
published it on blogs and other open platforms. Retrospectively, we
drew on performativity theory to reflect about the research questions
that guided our study. The analysis of the collected data lead to
our results. Our results suggest a model based on: 1) a stakeholder
model for Science in Society Open Source Software events where
stakeholders are artists, developers, researchers, and citizens; 2) a
open documentation model for open source software events where
documentation consists of a patchwork of words, still and moving
images, music and sound, and digital code.

Yesterday and today I made a Arduino LilyPad led dress to wear at a wedding in Italy
I bought the black dress in a shop in Trondheim a couple of years ago.

the most difficult part for me is to sew. and to decide not to have all the funny things that I could have, like buzzer, vibe, sensor, but here the idea is to go to a party, be elegant and a bit funny but not be a clown nor try to take to much attention. so I am satisfied. and I am looking forward to vacation and party.

Norwegian Easter

Everything closes, expecially NTNU, during the Norwegian Easter. I have an ambition to translate this novel into Norwegian. It has nothing to do with computers or art. Only about Norway and time.

Juryen består av Liv Arnesen, Alexandra Angeletaki, Hanne Dahlen, Arnfinn Rokne, Marit Sørumgård, Anders Christensen

Juryen har vurdert intensjon bak prosjektet og dets samsvar med LAFs mål.  Kreativitet og estetikk ble vektlagt. Viktigst av alt ble produktets ferdigstilling.

Juryen sier at alle produktene har høy kvalitet og har potensiale for videre bruk. De kommer tilbake til det. Alle presentasjoner er her.

De fire beste prosjekter er:

–          The Waterpulk – gruppe 3 geodesign

–          Vannskap – gruppe 2 new media

–          Stories om water – gruppe 2 geodesign

–          Thirst – gruppe 4 new media

Vinneren er The Waterpulk – gruppe 3 geodesign


Vannpulken er ferdig og er et reelt prosjekt som kan hjelpe. Visualiseringen knytter vannproblematikk mot LAFS sine mål. Er allerede i bruk på haiti i Påske.  I tillegg er prosjektet utstillbart her i Norge. Prosjektet er med på å løfte frem barn som helter.
