It means “and now we have made the beak to the goose”. We say this when we finish something. May be the results are not perfect but we are ready. I love this saying. In Norwegian “nå er det gjort”. My grandmother used to add after “ecco fatto il becco all’oca” – “…e le corna al potesta’”. We do not translate this.
