my #blog #italy #italia #ExpoMilano2015 @ntnu – some words without precise focus #reading #Mazzucco

There is EXPO in Milan. Even my mother who is almost 80 talks about Expo. Think to be able to experience EXPO. I have felt in love with these buildings (architect Stefano Boeri). We should have something like this for the new NTNU, preferably on top of the new Computer Science Department, with all the Norwegian tree kinds, furu, ask, etc., like our unix servers at IDI.

I am reading Limbo by Melania G. Mazzucco, I should read a PhD thesis and work more with email, but I read Limbo too. It is a very innovative book about an Italian female sergent in Afganistan, the book is poetic, I jump over the war descriptions as I have never managed to absorbe them since the time we were reading Aeneid at school.

#detto #saying piu’ #coraggio che polmoni #courage

My father used to tell me – te Ciccia hai piu’ coraggio che polmoni. It translates like “your braveness is bigger than your lungs” . I am curious how and if this can be translated to English/Norwegian. Any suggestions? I am starting to understand what he meant. I hope my lungs and sense of humor resist.

University Merge @ntnu @imefakultetet @HiGjovik @hials @HiSTnews #computerscience #datateknologi #informatikk

I have promised at our IDI’s strategy seminar that I will work for sharing information about the merge process to IDI’s employees. I am aware that exists and this is only a simple supplement for IDI and friends.

What will happen:

  • 28th May – open day @ime Program from 8.30 to 12.15 common with IME – From 12.30 @IDI Room 454
  • Visit to HiG 8th June – Responsible Mads Nygård
  • Visit to Hials 18 May – Responsible Mads Nygård
  • Visit to Hist 4th Juni – Responsible Letizia Jaccheri and Trond Aalberg

I was inspired and impressed by the meeting with Nils, Per, and not least Anniken whom I met for the first time but I had the impression we had been colleagues for ages. #women-in-computing

IDI employees are very wise and they give good advice for this merge process.

A classic Letizia’s reflection, we will do a lot of mistakes and we will say something that is not perfect since we are not educated as diplomatic. I hope we will forgive each other mistakes and we will make something new together.
